Frank J. Andonoplas has designed social and corporate events all over the country since 1992. Frank is an active member of the Association of Bridal Consultants, and in 1995 was appointed State Coordinator. He has also earned the designation of Professional Bridal Consultant in 1993. In 1996, the designation of Accredited Bridal Consultant, and Master Bridal Consultant in 1999 then making Frank the 19th in the world to earn that distinction. He is also a member of the International Special Events Society.
 


Frank's
work and experience has been featured on the CBS Evening News, ABC News and many publications. These include; The Chicago Tribune, Chicago Magazine, Today's Chicago Woman, Modern Bride, Special Events Magazine, Brides, The Wedding Pages of Chicago, The Los Angelos Times, North Shore Magazine, Giftware News, and he is featured in all five editions of The Complete Idiot's Guide to a Perfect Wedding, as well as numerous other books and periodicals .

Frank speaks regularly at workshops on wedding planning throughout the country, and has been a featured speaker at the Annual Business of Brides, American Rental Association, the Special Event and Event Solutions International Conferences. In 1996, he consulted and assisted in the installation of the exhibition "Threads of Tradition: The Wedding" at the Hellenic Museum and Cultural Center in Chicago. Frank also serves as a guest commentator for many bridal fashion shows both locally and nationally.

In 2000, Frank was appointed to the Advisory Board of Special Event Magazine and the Special Event Conference. He also has received the Association of Bridal Consultant's Dorothy Penner Award for his Passion and Excellence to the Wedding Industry. His work has been recognized by the National Association of Catering Executives/International Special Event Society's Chicago Excellence Awards as an 11 time nominee and 9 time winner in the Best Wedding and Best Social Event categories. In 2002, he was nominated for the Gala Award for "Best Wedding" by Special Events Magazine. In September of 2003, Frank Andonoplas was featured on FOX News in the Morning with Tamryn Hall during their Fantasy Weddings segment. Also in 2003, he was asked by Traditional Home Magazine to design their "Tabletop of the Month" for the June/July issue.

Currently, Frank Andonoplas was TheKnot.com's Chicagoland wedding expert and had an advice column on their website. In 2001, Modern Bride Magazine named Frank as a Wedding Ambassador for Excellence in Wedding Planning. He also serves as Advisor for the Wedding Track Workshops featured at the annual Special Event Conference.

Recently, Mr. Andonoplas, a member of the Jean Banchet Culinary Council since 2002, was named as one of the Top Ten Wedding Consultants in the Country by the Association of Bridal Consultants. He was voted and ranked first in the Chicago's Favorites 2003 Annual Readers Poll by Today's Chicago's Woman Magazine, and was named Chicago's Top Favorite Wedding Planner.

In 2005, Frank was elected to the International Special Events Society's Greater Chicagoland Board of Directors and served as recording Secretary. He appeared nationally on CBS's The Early Show in a segment about dogs in weddings.

Most recently, Frank was accepted to the prestigious Catering Executives Club of America, with only a slim percentage of members who are directly in the catering and food service field. Frank also planned the wedding for WTMX-101.9 FM - The Mix promotion called "2 Strangers and a Wedding...Is Love Blind?" for the Eric and Kathy Morning Show. The event, which unfolded over several weeks, chronicled the meeting of a couple over the radio, never laying eyes on each other until they met at the altar to be married. The Mix called on Frank to plan the entire event, which was was covered by all Chicago television stations as well as ABC's 20/20 News Magazine.
